The Journey...

The Journey of My First Publication!

My First Literary Baby, “Reflections of Life” 60 Days of Inspirations

The birthing of Reflections of Life, 60 Days of Inspiration! Everyday I need something that’s going to motivate me to be a better person, than I was the day before. That’s how this book finally came to be. But before I tell you about the final delivery, you have to appreciate the journey.

INCEPTION:

  1. My book cover is a canvas that I painted in 1995 (over 21 years ago). The family and I set out to do an art project together.I bought acrylics, brushes and canvases.I loved my painting so much.I said that I was going to use it for my first book cover whenever I write a book.

  2. Mirthell Bazemore. My book consultant. My literary mid-wife LOL. I met her about 11 years prior to her becoming an author. She shared with me that she was about to quit her job to become a writer.I nonchalantly said to her that I would look her up look when I decided to write my first book.

  3. Flash to 2015 via Facebook, Mirthell and I reconnected.I had been thinking that I should write a book that inspires, uplifts and empower. The very same day Mirthell instant messaged me.

  4. THE WORDS I SPOKE OVER 20 YEARS AGO MADE THERE WAY BACK TO ME.I was snared by my words.

DEVELOPING:

  1. Reflections of Life was conceived out of my Facebook post entitled Today’s Truths.

  2. My morning, afternoon or evening posts----When I received a spark of Inspirations or Enlightenment.

  3. My friends and family begin to post, How much that Truth encouraged them or was right on time.

THE BIRTHING:

My Today’s Truth became Reflections of My Life, 60 Days of Inspirations

It is a casual conversation between the reader and myself. Occasionally the conversation gets personal and I invite the reader to listen in on my dialogue with the Father. The When’s, The Why’s and The How’s of Life. I even become vulnerable and exposed of my feelings during particular situations throughout my life. My effort is to encourage the readers to reach within themselves and to be reminded of the good things in their lives. To also take an active role to rid themselves of negativity. I’d ultimately like to empower the readers to reach higher, to think harder and to love more freely.

As I approached the end of this journey of uncharted territory, I myself felt more empowered. Thus deeming myself, The Empowerment Activist! I feel a movement in this phrase….Let’s see what happens.

My book can be purchased via my personal web page. www.stephanieburrell-hammer.com. Log on and check it out. Thank you for your support.

Be Empowered,
